MEET ANDRETTA
FOUNDER & CEO
Andretta Swift is a Connecticut police officer turned law enforcement researcher and consultant. She has played a role in the successful accreditation of dozens of police departments.
Unlike most accreditation consultants, she focused on supporting departments that had no intention of becoming accredited. These departments were navigating the state-mandated accreditation process on their own but lacked the knowledge, resources, and support needed to succeed. It didn’t take long for Andretta to recognize that the available accreditation software wasn’t designed to meet their unique challenges either.
Andretta’s academic background is the perfect complement to her extensive real-world experience in police accreditation. Her Master of Legal Studies in Criminal Law and Policy from Arizona Law deepened her understanding of the legal frameworks and policy considerations that underpin accreditation standards. Combined with her doctoral research on accreditation and organizational change, Andretta’s education provides a comprehensive foundation for addressing the complex challenges departments face, whether pursuing voluntary or mandatory accreditation.
Andretta’s journey from accreditation consultant to software CEO was driven by a mission to break down barriers in the accreditation process. Recognizing the limitations of existing tools and the growing need for accessible solutions, she transformed her hands-on expertise into Badge 6, a cutting-edge platform that empowers departments of all sizes to achieve accreditation with confidence.
